We hit the jackpot when we walked into Mellow Mushroom and got Kate as our server. There are so many choices and it can be rather overwhelming for a first timer. But Kate gave some great suggestions and she did not steer us wrong. We had a regular size pie: 1/2 Super Pepp: mellow red sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, tangy peppers, dollops of ricotta, and hot honey, AND the other 1/2 Maui Wowie: pesto base, mozzarella, ham, pineapple, jerk chicken, banana peppers, and applewood-smoked bacon. WOWIE!!!! This was phenomenal!!! We rated the Super Pepp an 8 only because once we tasted the Maui Wowie nothing could compare!!! The Maui Wowie was a definate 10. If you are in the Jacksonville River City area stop in for pizza, calzone, wings or salad. Spicy mango margarita tops it off! Ask for Kate. She’s cool.

Stopped in for dinner and was blown away. Every time I come to mellow mushroom I know I’m going to have amazing pizza and amazing service. I got the mighty meaty with hot honey and it was the best ever. Definitely didn’t need the medium pizza but glad I had leftovers. Joey helped me out and he was great as well. I’m definitely glad I stopped in. The price is right and the food is always amazing. Also, it was trivia night tonight which was kind of cool.

Pizza was so good! And their cheesesteak was delicious. The sauce on the pizza is so fresh tasting, and they pile the cheese on there heavily! The staff is so nice, and the vibes inside are comfy and calming. It's a little pricey, but if you can afford it, it's so worth it.

When the kids enjoy the pizza you know it is good. My son said it was so stringy cheese. My daughter loved the stretchy cheese and the cheese is fun to play with. Perfectly cooked and temperature was great. Not to hot. Server was friendly and thorough just a bit slow.
